Pour Painting Idea 🌊
Acrylic Pouring Tutorial by Olga Soby
Acrylic Painting Art Tutorial | Fluid Art
Welcome to the new Abstract Ocean Art – Pour Painting Idea video tutorial. In this fluid acrylic painting lesson, I’m in the mood for some ocean inspired colors. I’m going to go for a dutch pour blowout to create a really bright burst of colors, and I have some beautiful colors for this purpose. All the colors that I’m using in this tutorial are going to be by brand Pebeo, and I want to go for a color split base for this pour painting.
I want to go for titanium white and phthalo blue color split base. And I have some iridescent turquoise, gold, a touch of violet, and red for some accents in the blowout. So, let’s see how this color combo will work out. And all of my colors today are mixed with just paint and water.

So, no pouring medium. And I mixed approximately 60% paint to 40% water or three parts paint to two parts water. This proportion is just very very rough and should be adjusted depending on the colors that you’re working with and, especially, on the brand you’re working with. Alright, first of all I’m going to add a base layer. One side I want it to be blue, and the other is going to be white. “Free flow” is a secret message of this acrylic pour painting. Let’s see how this art idea turns out. And without further ado let’s get started.
So, this abstract pour painting is all dry. I really like how there is such a bright burst of colors with some gold, and orange, and primary magenta in the center. And how it fades out into much softer parts with the blue and white, and white and blue, and a lot of beautiful delicate details that really make a perfect focal point, and create a lot of movement in the composition. I love it! I think this abstract ocean inspired painting is absolutely perfect. I think this is one of the best ocean style paintings of mine! Perfect balance with movement, there is yet some negative space. I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
