This time I’m working on a really beautiful and rich dark blue-violet base. 

So as always for the dutch pour all of my colors are mixed with water only. There is no pouring medium. And today I’m working on 16 by 16 cradled wood panel. To cover this size of panel or canvas I need approximately nine ounces of paint all together. 

Cadmium Yellow 
Turquoise Blue 

NEW Blow-Dryer 
Torch 
Squeeze Bottles 

I think this painting turned out really cool. I love this extra bright splash of color. There is definitely a lot of gold. So all this is mostly gold and just a little bit of yellow in a few areas. But on such a dark violet background it totally works! And I like that all cells in the center are so different in size, different shapes, different colors. 

I think it gives this area a lot of life and beauty. And notice how all the colors remained really vibrant and saturated? I also really like the areas where green-blue, the iridescent green-blue blends into violet. These colors totally work terrific together. Working with just paint and water and fluid consistency in fluid painting you can achieve cool lacing effects and some amazing density cells!
