Acrylic Pouring Tutorial by Olga Soby
HUGE & VIBRANT ~ Ocean Abstract Art ~ EASY Fluid Art Tutorial
In today’s Tutorial I invite you to create a CoastLine Acrylic Pour Painting. I will do ocean pour painting, and this one is going to be inspired by the coastline of Oregon state. This is very interesting and pretty big project for commission, for my client.
This is going to be a triptych. So, each of these three panels is 16 by 16 inches. All of my colors are mixed with water only. I’m gonna work on this piece as one, and then, of course, the panel is going to be separated to sit a little bit on distance from each other on a wall.
Oregon coast is known for its beautiful long sandy beaches with some cliffs and some foresty mountains and beautiful long waves of Pacific Ocean.

I want to try to show all this beauty from the bird-eye view, so from above. Trying to visualize ,of course, I researched a lot of images of the Oregon beaches. Every time you get in a commission with specific requests I highly recommend you just to do a little research, look at the images for reference, and that really helps to get the best idea of what to do with your project.
“Ocean freedom flow” is a secret message for this piece. Let’s see how this beauty turns out. Let’s get started.
This fluid painting turned out so special, I’m super thrilled and so happy! For me, it’s a very good combination of nature and abstract forms. And there’s so much going on in this painting: from all the depth in the deep water section with dark blues, and all this movement and the reflection of the sunshine in the golden parts, golden splashes, and all the foamy waves that are crushing the beach and the rocks. Beautiful lacing and details, and some iridescent colors that spark up. And, of course, the land and the forest.
I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
