Welcome to the new Flame 3D Flow – Mixed Media Abstract Art tutorial. In this acrylic pouring lesson, I’m going to create an acrylic painting with a flow full of really hot energetic colors, a 3D effect, and a multicolor base. I want to go for a little darker deeper base with sort of the same color palette. Also, I’m going to use the ring today, doing the pour painting for the “Breaking through the limits” series with the flow going through that ring.
So, let’s get started. “Dancing energy” is a secret message for this red abstract flame painting. I’m working on a 12 by 24 inches canvas. For the base of this fluid painting, I’m going to create a multi-color base. I mixed some red and burgundy with black. This is a really dark deep color.

For some highlights in a base, I mixed some reds and magentas. I have blended a nice burgundy color. I think I also want to add a couple of touches of black for even darker deeper shades. Besides I want to add a carmine red, a very beautiful rich red color. In the main flow, I want to use iridescent orange, so I want to have a couple of drops of it in the base as well. So, without further ado let’s see how this creative mixed media art idea turned out!
I’m super happy about this fluid painting. It’s so strong and energetic! Yet the parts that were blown out, especially, some of the details that I added with my breath, they are so much softer and delicate, there are a lot of soft lines. This combo sort of increases this balance between straight and delicacy. This pour painting idea turned out perfect! Here it is done and finished. And this one is so beautiful. Totally one of my favorite acrylic paintings from the “Breaking through the limits” series! So much drama, and so much energy. I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
