💗 WOW! Dancing Flow Acrylic Pouring ~ Dutch pour technique

Glamorous RED Fluid Art Tutorial – here is a new acrylic pour painting in the Dancing Flow series! This time I invite you to explore a new color combo with me. I have a beautiful color, it’s a transparent red medium. But I would say it looks like a primary magenta to me. But it’s called transparent red, so let’s call it this way. I often use red and magentas in my artworks, but I have never used this color as a base for my painting for negative space.

So I want to try it out today. I want to do a color split base, and I want to use this transparent red on one half of my painting and white on the other. I don’t know, maybe it’s going to be too much, maybe it’s going to be too intense, and maybe it’s going to be beautiful.

Acrylic Pouring RECIPE used for today’s flow art painting:

Acrylic paint is mixed with water only to a fluid consistency. I add approximately 30-50% of water to my colors. There is no exact % or proportion because this ratio depends on initial paint viscosity, which significantly varies from brand to brand and even from color to color.

Resin Finish Online Course

Do you want to learn how to finish painting with epoxy resin for a beautiful, smooth, liquid glass-like finish? Introducing NEW Exclusive Epoxy Finish Mastery Course!

So, I guess we will find out. My colors are mixed with just acrylic paint and water today. No other additives. And very fluid consistency.

Not only that, I’m trying out a new base color today. But this color combo that is gonna be for my flow is also quite unusual. At least I haven’t tried it before. So here I have this one red mixed with copper. So it’s like a sort of soft metallic red color. Some silver, Prussian blue, red-violet, and iridescent orange.

So, let’s get started and pour it out!

I’ll never get tired of trying out new color combos in my fluid art, and this new one is so elegant yet bold and rich! I actually think now that the painting has an oriental feel to it. I love how silver and iridescent orange POP inside such a contrasting color palette. Painting is finished with a layer of epoxy resin.
This blowing or dutch pour technique requires a very fluid consistency, which allows creating the most beautiful lacing, cells, and color transition with the most simple pouring recipe. I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
