TRIPLE Ring DESIGN Acrylic Pouring ~ Modern Abstract Painting

What Limits We’ll Break Through in this Magical MAGENTA Fluid Art Tutorial? Magical Magenta, Fiery Gold, and Triple Ring Design.

I continue exploring the embellishment of acrylic pour painting with different shapes, especially rings. I have done all kinds of them already, and today I want to try something new. So I want to do two rings. I have two different sizes here, and I want to use them to actually add an element of design in my painting. For my colors, I want to go for the color split base. So this top sort of diagonal corner is going to be white, and on the bottom part, I want to use a beautiful red-violet color.

Acrylic Pouring RECIPE used for today’s flow art painting:

Acrylic paint is mixed with water only to a fluid consistency. I add approximately 30-50% of water to my colors. There is no exact % or proportion because this ratio depends on initial paint viscosity, which significantly varies from brand to brand and even from color to color.

Resin Finish Online Course

This is a super beautiful rich color, one of my favorites. And, of course, some colors for the flow. Before using my cookie cutter (this is my ring shape), I also want to add a mix of Prussian blue with a few other dark colors. I’m not going to dip the ring in the paint. I just want to drag the paint. I am carefully spinning it and dragging the paint in this circular motion.

Little Tip: when I’m lifting my rings, there is always a film formed between the round shape of the cookie cutter and the paint due to the surface tension of a liquid. So I pop it.

I think I’m going to blow it out, see how that turns out, and then always can add more paint. Because it’s easy to add more, it’s hard to take it back. Let’s see how it turns out, and with that being said, let’s get started.

All dry, finished with the layer of epoxy resin for a nice beautiful shiny finish, and boy do I love this one with all this bright, shiny gold and the section on the bottom that I was messing around with a lot. It’s gorgeous! It was totally worth it, changing things up. And of course, the rings, I think it really works well with this color split base and this whole flow composition.

I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
