Welcome to the new Mystic Purple Rings - Mixed Media Abstract Art video. In this acrylic pouring tutorial, I want to create a fluid painting with a really rich vibrant violet color palette on a deep winsor violet base. But this time I have creative paint pouring art idea. I want to combine acrylic pouring and rings, so I'm going to try a new fluid art design with such a rich and deep color palette! The idea is to use the hoops to mask out and sort of separate the negative space from the rest of the flow. Something similar to what I do when I embellish my flow paintings with the stencil to create beautiful textured mandala art effects. But this time instead of adding anything inside, I want to keep those areas empty and just use them to mask out of my flow.

Acrylic Colors and Supplies used in this Mystic Purple Rings - Mixed Media:
First, I'm going to add some violet color inside the hoops. I'm going to have violet as well inside of the flow but I don't want it to be right next to the rings, to create more separation. So right outside of the rings, I'm going to add other colors. This violet color is going to dry super dark, almost black. I really love the depth and richness of this violet.
A bit closer to my rings I'm going to add permanent magenta color. I almost always use it when I work with violet. These colors just work like a perfect team together, they're meant to be used together.
Let's see how this mixed media abstract art idea turned out. Without further ado, let's get started!
Now this acrylic pour painting all done, covered with a layer of glossy varnish. I wanted to have a very thin fine finish on this fluid painting. And I think this abstract painting looks super interesting with these rounded negative space areas and such a chaos of colors inside. You know these areas make me think of the doors to other dimensions or beautiful web or something very mystical and beautiful. What I love the most about this flow painting is all these golden veins and how they work throughout the whole painting and really connect everything together.
I hope you enjoyed this acrylic pouring tutorial and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
