Gorgeous Orange Base - Summer Art Vibe! Fluid Art Tutorial
Welcome to a new Orange Pour Acrylic Pouring - Abstract Art tutorial. This time, I'm in the mood for a warm, hot, and vivid orange color palette for this fluid acrylic painting. I continue my series of acrylic pour paintings that are done on a pretty monochromatic base and with a black beautiful contrasting flow on it. Previously I've done one with yellow, and I've done one with turquoise color palettes. I love both of them, so today it's my turn to do orange.
Orange is not as light as yellow and is not as light as turquoise, but if we're using medium darkness color with black there is less contrast. I am up for contrast, so I have prepared vermilion orange which is going to be my main dominant color in this fluid painting.

Also, I mixed a bunch of other colors that have some white. There's vermilion orange with white, there's cadmium orange with white, and there are a couple of other ones. This way my base is going to be more multi-color, and more interesting, and there's still going to be plenty of contrast with my black flow. I am working on a 20 by 24 inches canvas in this fluid art video. As always I prepared the back of the canvas, that's what I always do when I work on canvas painting. Also, I painted the sides of the canvas because vermilion orange is a very transparent color. When I'm working with more opaque colors I don't really always paint the sides because the coverage is usually pretty good, but with transparent, I highly recommend to paint the sides prior to painting.
Let's see how such an abstract art idea turns out. And without further ado let's get started.
This juicy and vivid abstract pour painting is all done and finished with a layer of varnish. And this contrasting flow painting definitely has a carnival spirit. It's bright, happy colors and they are totally dancing on this canvas painting. This is such a vibrant and strong color combination in the base. And on that combo, the black with a little bit of dark grey really worked nicely. And I'm super happy that I didn't add any other colors in the flow because I think it would totally overwhelm this abstract painting. It's quite striking already, so more colors would just be too much. So having just a black color with a little bit of gray, silver, and orange is perfect for this fluid art idea! So one color that matches the base worked super nicely with black and gray. Especially, when the base of acrylic pouring is already quite vibrant.
I hope you enjoyed this acrylic painting tutorial and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
