Welcome to Purple Overflow Abstract Acrylic Painting video tutorial. In this acrylic pouring video, I want to create a new painting in my Overflow series. I have been obsessed with the first two pour paintings how they turned out. So much expression, movement, and I just love this new layout. And this time I want to do something similar exploring the purple, violet, and gold color palette.
This is a very striking color combination, very contrasting, at the same time very mysterious and serene, because it has some really dark colors, some light. I love this color palette a lot. Let’s see how it turns out. I work on a 14 by 18 cradled wood panel.

Abstract Acrylic Painting:
“Mystery flow” is a secret message for this abstract painting. Because purple and violet as a combination will be a primary color palette for this fluid painting. And violet, in general, is a very mysterious color. It has a passion of red and the serenity of blue color. That’s why it’s quite unique, quite interesting, plus it’s also very rich and dark. And I love using it with golden accents. So without further ado let’s get started with the new Vibrant Overflow painting.
Voila! Here is this pour painting all done and finished. Look how bright that gold shines, especially in the contrast with violet color because they make a complementary set. This flow painting is so elegant and feminine. The colors and all this floral or almost smoky movement, especially some of the parts that look like inks in the water or really colorful smoke are breathtaking. Very light, very delicate, yet this abstract artwork has a lot of energy because of all of the shine. I really like that I have the paint going all the way to this corner, and very minimal negative space on this part of the fluid painting. It really helps to emphasize this curvy movement, all this dynamic feel of this abstract painting. All these lines and movements really make me think about dance, beautiful mystic dance.
I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
