Welcome to new Swipe Technique Tutorial – Paint Pouring Abstract Art video. This fuid acrylic painting lesson is an exciting collaboration with Molly’s Artistry. I’m creating gradient pour painting right in Molly’s Artistry Studio in South Florida. And this is going to be the most exciting and complete swipe tutorial.
First, we are going to pick some colors for the swipe. This is going to be a gradient of colors from the turquoise all the way to vibrant azo yellow. And we’re going to be working on a black base. Also, we have to think about how we’re going to create the swipe. How do we want our pour painting composition to look? We have to think about this part before.

This is the one of the hardest parts of this acrylic pouring technique because we’re actually going to work on a very small piece of the canvas and then stretch it out to look like what we want it to look like. So, we have to think, do we want any parts to come off the side? Do we want to try to keep most of it in? Do we want it all to come off the sides? Do we want it to be symmetrical? Well, I really like to work with diagonal composition. I feel like this is the most dynamic composition for myself. So let’s see how this fluid painting turns out. And without further ado let’s get started.
Here this gorgeous acrylic pour painting is all dry! I’m kind of proud for this one. I had an advantage trying this swipe technique for the first time. I think this abstract painting turned out amazing! I love the colors and I can’t believe how vibrant they dried even though we used a lot of transparent colors. I’m really in love with the outcome! Such beautiful lacing and so many huge cells! And, of course, wonderful gradient color palette. I hope you enjoyed the process and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
