Welcome to the new Winter Art - Mixed Media Painting Tutorial. This fluid art video is a collaboration with two good friends of mine: Rinske Douna and Molly from Molly's Artistry Channel. About a year ago we started a collaborative project together and we called it "Life in Fluid Color" inspired by "Life in Color" with David Attenborough.
The idea for us was to use a picture taken by one of us capturing the beauty of nature and use that picture as an inspiration for pour paintings. This time it's going to be a picture taken by me. As you know I live in Canada, I live in beautiful British Columbia, and this place is definitely known for its gorgeous scenery and, of course, mountains.

Acrylic Colors and Supplies used in this Winter Art
And this picture I took on one of our ski trips to Whistler. It's a small town just north from Vancouver and it's pretty known for winter sports. So almost at the top of one of the mountains there is a station and a viewpoint with this gorgeous breathtaking panoramic view, and this is where my photo was taken. It's definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
Let's see how this creative winter art idea turns out and without further ado let's get started.
Now this beautiful winter pour painting is all dry and finished. I'm so glad that I used gloss gel when I added the embellishment part to my fluid painting because it added so much transparency as you remember gloss gel dries transparent. And I really see a lot of the colors shining through embellishment and, of course, it fades towards the sides. And even though the red part is the brightest section of the whole acrylic painting but because of this transparency it really blends nicely with the rest of more soft and smooth background. And for the flow part of this artwork, there are so many beautiful cells, lacing! And really there's just so much to explore in this winter painting. I loved working with this winter color palette so much.
I hope you enjoyed this acrylic painting tutorial and looking forward to hearing from you! Happy creating!
